Background: Croucher Science Week 2025 features science demonstrations and workshops that focus on the science in everyday life. Participants will gain a better understanding of the connections between scientific knowledge and daily life. The Hong Kong Science Museum is now inviting volunteers to assist with programme operation.

- To take part in programme promotion
- To assist participants in experiencing the experiments/activities
- To provide customer service, answer enquires, and assist with crowd control

*Volunteers interested in assisting with different programmes can register according to the types mentioned above. Please note that the programmes are subject to change without prior notice.
Time: 9:45 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. (exact duration to be confirmed)
**including onsite briefing session and lunch time
| Location: Various venues of the Hong Kong Science Museum (Classroom, Laboratory, V-learning Room, Lecture Hall) (2 Science Museum Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon) No. of volunteers (Max. Capacity): 2-4 persons |
Requirement:
- Fluent in Cantonese and English (programmes will be conducted in English)
- Polite with good interpersonal and communication skills and customer service manner
- Form 5 or above (Priority will be given to those who have qualifications or experience in science)
* HKScM will send the details of duties and related programmes to successful applicants before 7 April. Please report for duty at 9:45a.m. on your assigned duty day for onsite briefing.
Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 27 January 2025 (Monday).
Notes:
If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 27 March 2025 (Thursday). The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
