Background:
The 12th edition of Muse Fest HK 2026 is set to commemorate the rich cultural heritage of Hong Kong through the theme of "Hong Kong Story." The event not only celebrates the city's transformation from a historic gateway to a world-renowned international metropolis, but also takes visitors on a journey to explore history, art, and science through a diverse array of specially curated programmes, exhibitions, and educational activities across museums and cultural sectors under the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), including Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong Museum of History, Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum, Hong Kong Museum of the War of Resistance and Coastal Defence, Hong Kong Railway Museum, Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Centre, Fireboat Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery, Oi!, Science Promotion Unit, Conservation Office, Intangible Cultural Heritage Office, Hong Kong Public Libraries, Film Programmes Office, Film Archive, Audience Building Office, and Music Office.During Muse Fest HK 2026, visitors can expect a 2-day mega opening event “Fun@Museum Carnival” on 31 October and 1 November 2026, from 11:00 to 18:00, at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza. The Carnival will feature a dynamic mix of interactive installations, workshops, demonstrations, music performances, and film/video screenings, fostering a deeper appreciation for Hong Kong's history and culture among the general public and tourists.

- To assist in promoting Muse Fest to visitors; distributing leaflets, souvenirs and questionnaires - Providing onsite support, e.g. help and lead workshops, crowd control, monitoring and reception (Full- day event will take place at outdoor area) - Volunteers are welcome to promote Museum Festival on their own online platform (voluntary) |
Date: 31 October and 1 November 2026 (Saturday and Sunday)
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Including 1-hour meal break in rotation)
| Location: The Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza No. of volunteers required: 40 ambassadors per day |
Requirement:
- Fluent in spoken Cantonese and able to communicate with visitors in simple Putonghua and English preferred
- Able to work outdoor for a prolonged period
- Polite and has good interpersonal and communication skills as well as good customer service manner
- Form 5 or above

Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 4 September 2026 (Friday).
Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 7 October 2026 (Wednesday). The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
