Background and details: LCSD Museums value the feedback from different stakeholders in order to optimize museum services. Volunteers are invited to be the mystery visitors at our museums to conduct visitor experience assessment.

Volunteers shall observe and experience through a customer journey, and share your opinions. After your visit, please provide detailed feedback through questionnaire.

Date: 1 April to 31 May 2026


Time: Anytime during museums’ opening hours.

*2 service hours will be rewarded in appreciation to your valuable opinions for EACH of the following visit with successful questionnaire submission:

-             1x Group 1 Museum OR;

-             1x Group 3 Museum

*1 service hour will be rewarded in appreciation to your valuable opinions for EACH of the following visit with successful questionnaire submission:

-             1x Group 2 Museum

Location: 

15 LCSD museums and 2 art spaces:

Group 1 Museums:

  • Hong Kong Museum of Art
  • Hong Kong Science Museum

  • Hong Kong Museum of History

Group 2 Museums:

  • Hong Kong Space Museum
  • Hong Kong Museum of the War of Resistance and Coastal Defence
  • Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware
  • Hong Kong Railway Museum
  • Fireboat Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery
  • Law Uk Folk Museum
  • Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum
  • Sam Tung Uk Museum
  • Hong Kong Film Archive
  • Oi!
  • Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre
  • Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum

Group 3 Museums:

  • Sheung Yiu Folk Museum

*Please note that specified museums and special exhibitions will levy admission charges, visitors need to present valid museum admission ticket or LCSD museum pass. Please check the ticketing information of specified museums if needed.

No. of volunteers required: 

Group 1 museum: 3 per week

Group 2 museum: 2 per week

Group 3 museum: 1 per week

Requirement:

-             Interested in museum activities

-             Familiar with using online questionnaire

-             Form 5 or above

Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 3 March 2026 (Tuesday) .

Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 18 March 2026 (Wednesday).  The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
