[Testing](MVST20251002)MVS ── Training Workshop Communication Skills in Cognitive Impairment and Wheelchair Application

Background: The workshop aims to help volunteers learn effective communication skills with people with cognitive impairment, acquire skills in proper wheelchair use and transfer techniques, and enable museum volunteers to better understand the needs of different individuals when providing services.

*The training will be conducted in Cantonese, , supplemented by bilingual presentation slides in Chinese and English.

Date: 13 Dec 2025 (Saturday)

Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Location:  Lecture Hall, B/F, Hong Kong Museum of Art (10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui)

No. of volunteers required: 150 volunteers 

Requirement: 

-      Interested in enhancing communication skills with people with cognitive impairment

-      Interested in understanding barrier free services

Speaker: Occupational Therapist, Caritas Jockey Club Resource and Support Centre for Carers 

Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 31 October 2025 (Friday). 

Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 26 November 2025 (Wednesday).  The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately.
