Background: The Min Chiu Society is a significant collectors’ organisation in Hong Kong and around the world. This year, to celebrate its 65th anniversary, the Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMoA) has joined hands with the Society to present the exhibition “Engaging Past Wisdom: Min Chiu Society at Sixty-five,” showcasing over 400 works from the collections of more than 40 members. The exhibits span a wide range of precious artefacts—including Chinese painting and calligraphy, ceramics, bronzes, jades, lacquerware, textiles, bamboo, furniture, and sculpture—marking a landmark event in the field of collecting.

During this event, Assistant Curators from the Hong Kong Museum of Art will share behind-the-scenes curatorial stories and insights from the exhibition “Engaging Past Wisdom: Min Chiu Society at Sixty-five,” and offer special guided tours for volunteers to appreciate various types of cultural relics as well as calligraphy and paintings, enabling a deeper exploration of the exhibition’s content.
*The event will be conducted in Cantonese, supplemented by bilingual presentation slides in Chinese and English.

Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 12 November 2025 (Wednesday). The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately.
