Background: To ensure volunteers are well-prepared for the upcoming services, we are offering a series of induction training. Each training will cover the overview of a specific museum / office (history, mission, future development, activities, volunteer service opportunities etc.), as well as an interesting sharing on the curatorial concept and stories behind key exhibition(s).

Details:

With the mission to “engage people with science through joyful experiences”, Hong Kong Science Museum (ScM) runs a series of permanent exhibitions and special exhibitions, including “Extinction· Resilience”exhibition hall unveiled last year, to spark curiosity and ignite inquisitive minds.

With an aim to enhance the visitors’ experiences, the Museum invites volunteers to briefly introduce the exhibits to visitors, and to guide visitors on how to participate in smartphone games. ScM also organises various activities with an aim to enhance the science knowledge. The Museum invites volunteers to assist the facilitators in the workshop.

Assistant Curators from the ScM will introduce the facilities and exhibit highlights inside the exhibition halls, demonstrate and explain the operation of exhibits, and provide points to note of the museum services.
