Background: To ensure volunteers are well-prepared for the upcoming services, we are offering a series of induction training. Each training will cover the overview of a specific museum / office (history, mission, future development, activities, volunteer service opportunities etc.), as well as an interesting sharing on the curatorial concept and stories behind key exhibition(s).
Details: Hong Kong Heritage Museum (HM) presents a unique mix of history, art and culture in a great variety of programmes that cater for the wide-ranging interests of the public, including popular culture related exhibitions launched in recent years, e.g., “Hong Kong Pop 60+”,“Timeless Diva: Anita Mui”, “A Laugh at the World: James Wong”, etc.
With an aim to enhance the visitors’ experiences, the Museum
invites volunteers to briefly give an exhibition overview and to
demonstrate how the interactive installation and games interact with visitors. HM
also hosts Fun Day for the public. Volunteers are invited to assist in
activities operation and other related work as appropriate on Fun Day. Curator from the HM will introduce the current exhibitions and education activities, as well as a sharing on the curatorial approach and stories behind the "A Laugh at the World: James Wong" exhibition. *Training workshop will be conducted in Cantonese, supplemented by bilingual presentation slides in Chinese and English. |
