Background: Hong Kong Film Archive is dedicated to acquiring Hong Kong films and related materials, including film prints, video tapes, publicity materials as well as other artefacts and materials etc. for permanent preservation. For collection preservation and enhancing public access purposes, Conservation Office is now supporting Hong Kong Film Archive in preserving and conserving its collection and inviting volunteer to provide assistance in this project.

- To assist in the arrangement, inspection and cleaning of collection items before and after digitisation - To assist in handling collection items during digitisation process - To assist in operating the equipment for digitisation and performing quality checking on digitisation output - To assist in data entry of collection items - To assist in condition inspection, cleaning and preservation of exhibits pertaining to permanent exhibition |

Requirement:
- Fluent in Cantonese, able to read and write Chinese and English
- Tidy, meticulous, careful and patient
- Experience in serving as Collection Digitisation Volunteer for the Hong Kong Film Archive or as volunteer for the Conservation Office is preferred
- Each volunteer could only attend 1 day of service
*briefing of service will be conducted on site
Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 29 May 2026 (Friday).
Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 24 June 2026 (Wednesday). The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
