Background: The “School Culture Day Scheme” aims to encourage students to visit the cultural venues under LCSD and participate in different types of cultural activities. Designed by the Conservation Office, “Conservation DIY” is a series of workshops under this Scheme for students to experience the works of conservation through fun challenges. They can also learn to apply scientific, historical and artistic knowledge in daily life and understand the significance of heritage conservation.

-         To prepare workshop materials

-         To take photos of the workshop

Time: 

1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Location: Seminar Room and Education Studio, Hong Kong Heritage Museum (1 Man Lam Road, Sha Tin)  

No. of volunteers required: 4 persons per session

Requirement:       

-         Fluent Cantonese is preferred

-         Polite and has good interpersonal and communication skills as well as good customer service manner

-         Careful and patient

-         Priority will be given for those who are available to attend at least three workshops

Briefing:

*All successful applicants are required to attend the briefing session to learn more about the service details.

Details: Staff from the Conservation Office will introduce the background of the activity and share past experiences about the service. Tools and materials to be used for the activity will also be explained. Volunteers may also participate in the workshop activity to learn skills of using different tools and interact with our staff members. 

Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 21 November 2025 (Friday)

Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 17 December 2025 (Wednesday).  The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
