Background: Since its establishment in 2010, the “Stargaze Camp for All and the Blind” has been a prominent outdoor event that promotes inclusion between the able-bodied and people with disabilities through stargazing activities. Participating organisations include various government departments, commercial and industrial sectors, and social welfare groups. The Hong Kong Space Museum will organise booth display and stargazing activities, coordinate participation from local astronomical societies, and provide equipment including educational materials for stargazing designed for the visually impaired.

Location: Gathering and dismissal locations: Hong Kong Space Museum (10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui)
Camp location: Tai Tam Scout Centre, Stanley
No. of volunteers required: 6 persons |
Requirement:

- Fluent in spoken Cantonese and able to communicate with participants in simple Putonghua and English preferred - Able to work outdoor for a prolonged period - Polite with good interpersonal skills, communication skills and customer service manner - Form 5 or above

Priority will be given to those who have experience in
astronomy education
Briefing: *All successful applicants are required to attend the briefing session to learn more about the service details. Date: 9 December 2025 (Tuesday) Time: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 31 October 2025 (Friday). Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota,
the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful
applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 12 November
2025 (Wednesday). The unsuccessful applicants will also be
notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to
the Secretariat’s announcements as final. |
