[Registration closed](MVS20250907)Conservation Office: Helpers for the Muse Fest HK 2025 conservation workshop

Background: As part of Muse Fest HK 2025, the Conservation Office will host a game booth in the open area near the Hong Kong Museum of Art on 1–2 November 2025 (Sat–Sun), introducing the key factors that cause artefact deterioration and, through a game, helping the public understand the principles of preventive conservation.

Helpers are recruited to 1) prepare the booth materials in late October;  2) assist with booth operations and promote the concept of conservation on the event days.

Date, Time & Location: 

Briefing - preparation

Date: 30 October 2025 (Thursday)

Time: 11:00 am – 12:00 nn

Location: Hong Kong Museum of Art (10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui)

Service - Workshop

Date: 1-2 November 2025 (Saturday to Sunday)

Time: 10:30 am – 6:30 pm (including 1-hour lunch break)

Location: Hong Kong Cultural Centre Market

 
No. of volunteers required: 4 volunteers each day

Requirement:      

-         Able to stand for long hours and carry the service outside museum environment

-         Must attend both briefing and booth sessions

-         Experience in serving as a volunteer for the Conservation Office is preferred

-         Being polite and possesses good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good customer service manner

Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 3 October 2025 (Friday).

Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 15 October 2025 (Wednesday).  The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately.
