The Hong Kong Space Museum features two exhibition halls, namely the "Hall of the Cosmos" and the "Hall of Space Exploration", showcasing about a hundred exhibits, over half of which are interactive.  These exhibits introduce visitors to the knowledge of astronomy and space science in an engaging way.

The Museum invites volunteers to assist visitors in introducing the exhibit "Solar Telescope" in the "Hall of the Cosmos", helping visitors to use the exhibits smoothly and understand the science behind it, as well as assist in crowd control of the special exhibition.

-         To guide and assist visitors in using the exhibits properly

-         To briefly explain the science behind the exhibits

-         To provide customer service to visitors, answer enquiries and assist in crowd control

Location: Exhibition halls and special exhibition of Hong Kong Space Museum (10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui)

No. of volunteers required: 2 persons per session 

-         Fluent in spoken Cantonese and able to communicate with visitors in simple Putonghua and English

-         Polite and possesses good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good customer service manner

-         Form 5 or above (persons who have studied science subjects are preferable)

-         Priority will be given to volunteers who have attended the “MVS ── Induction Training Programme: Hong Kong Space Museum” on 12 November 2024 or the briefing session of “Hong Kong Space Museum: Exhibit Assistant” on 4 March 2025  
 -         Details of the service and reference notes of the exhibitions will be sent to successful applicants via email later. Volunteers must study the reference notes prior to their service days.

Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 30 May 2025 (Friday). 

Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 18 June 2025 (Wednesday).  The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately.
