Background: To prepare for the new session of the "Young Astronaut Training Camp", applications will soon open for qualified students to register and participate in three rounds of selections. Students with outstanding performance will be chosen to participate in astronaut training at aerospace facilities in the Mainland during the summer holidays. As the second round of the selection process, the pre-camp training is a three-day, two-night programme conducted by a team of instructors. About 70 students are expected to attend the pre-camp training.

Date: 28 – 30 June 2025 (three days and two nights)
Time:
28 June 2025 (Saturday): 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
29 June 2025 (Sunday): 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
30 June 2025 (Monday): 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Requirement:
- Fluent in spoken Cantonese
- Able to work outdoors for extended periods and serve as group leaders for three consecutive days
- Polite with good interpersonal skills, communication skills, and a positive service attitude
- Have completed Secondary 5 or above
- Priority will be given to those who have participated in volunteer services of the Hong Kong Space Museum
- Priority will be given to those who have experience in leading and managing youth group activities

Location: Multi-purpose Room, Hong Kong Space Museum
Details: Staff from the Hong Kong Space Museum will introduce the activity background, the rundown of the pre-camp training, and important notes.
Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 3 April 2025 (Thursday).
Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 9 May 2025 (Friday). The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
