The "Hong Kong Railway
Museum Fun Day" is the annual mega event hosted by the Hong Kong Railway
Museum. Once again, we are thrilled to present a diverse range of engaging
activities where the public can immerse themselves in the rich history of local
railways, explore the old railway station, marvel at the steam and diesel
locomotives, and step inside historical coaches. Visitors can delight in the
experience of riding on the old trains, creating unforgettable memories. The
event's programmes include “Treasure Hunt at Hong Kong Railway Museum”,
“Railway Badge Making”, “In-depth Tour by Curator”, “Sharing on Signal System
of Kowloon-Canton Railway”, etc.

Details:
To assist in booth operation of “Treasure Hunt at Hong Kong Railway Museum” and “Railway Badge Making”, crowd control and take photo record of the activities
Date: 17 November 2024 (Sunday)
Time:
(i) 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
(ii) 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Hong Kong Railway Museum (13
Shung Tak Street, Tai Po Market, Tai Po)
No. of volunteers required: 7 persons per each session
Requirement:

- Fluent in spoken Cantonese and able to communicate with visitors in simple Putonghua and English preferred - Able to work outdoor for a prolonged period - Polite and has good interpersonal and communication skills as well as good customer service manner - Careful, patient and helpful - Form 5 or above |
Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 10 October 2024 (Thursday).
Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 28 October 2024 (Monday). The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
