Background:
The Hong Kong Museum of History is currently presenting two important exhibitions: “The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Prosperity and Magnificence – Civilisation of the Sui and Tang Dynasties in Shaanxi Province”, which features a selection of over 165 sets of artefacts from Shaanxi and Hong Kong, alongside multimedia displays and interactive zone, leading visitors into the golden era of the Sui and Tang dynasties to experience the grandeur and majesty of Chang ‘an; and “Hong Kong Story” Permanent Exhibition, which immerses visitors in a journey through time spanning six millennia via over 2,800 exhibits.
Details:
The event will offer volunteers a chance to communicate with the Curator and Assistant Curators from the Hong Kong Museum of History. Speakers will share behind-the-scenes insights into curating “The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Prosperity and Magnificence – Civilisation of the Sui and Tang Dynasties in Shaanxi Province” and “Hong Kong Story” Permanent Exhibition. The Curator and Assistant Curators from the Hong Kong Museum of History will provide exclusive guided tours to the volunteers to introduce the exhibition theme further.
*Event will be conducted in Cantonese, supplemented by bilingual presentation slides in Chinese and English.

Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants.
The successful
applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 21 July 2026 (Tuesday).
