(MVS20260828)Hong Kong Space Museum: Outreach Programme to Schools (October to November 2026)

Background: To promote astronomy and space science among students, the Hong Kong Space Museum is offering outreach programme – Talk & Demo to primary schools in Hong Kong. The target audiences are primary 4 to 6 students. The activity topic will be En Route to Space or Rocket 101.

Details:

-         To assist in the logistics, distribution and collection of the materials

-         To guide the students to understand the activity contents

-         To assist museum staff to conduct various activities

-         To take photos of the activities

Date:

14, 21, 28 October 2026 (En Route to Space)

12, 19, 26 November 2026 (Rocket 101)

Time: 

Afternoon, about 2 hours for each activity

Location: 

Primary schools in Hong Kong

No. of volunteers required: 3 persons for session

Requirement:

-         Fluent in spoken Cantonese

-         Friendly, patient and good at teaching students

-         Polite with good interpersonal and communication skills

Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 4 September 2026 (Friday).

Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 7 October 2026 (Wednesday).  The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
