Background: Participating in the Museum Festival 2026 – Fun@Museum Carnival, the Conservation Office will present “Golden Memories: Conserve Your Heritage”, featuring workshops, interactive booth games, and thematic display panels. The public will be guided to explore how conservation helps in preserving Hong Kong’s precious historical memories.
The Conservation Office cordially invites volunteers to assist with the event - guiding visitors to explore the display panels, participate in the interactive booth games, and provide support for the workshops.
Details:
- Guide visitors through the thematic display panels and encourage them to explore the content in greater depth.
- Assist with the interactive booth game: explain the rules, support participants, and help ensure smooth operation.
- Provide support during workshop activities.
- Offer customer service: answer general enquiries and assist with crowd management as needed.
Date: 31 October and 1 November 2026 (Saturday and Sunday)
Time: 10:00 – 18:00 (tentative)
Session 1: 10:00 – 14:00
Session 2: 14:00 – 18:00

4 persons per session
Requirement:
- Fluent in spoken Cantonese and able to communicate with visitors in simple Putonghua and English preferred
- Able to work outdoor for a prolonged period
- Polite and has good interpersonal and communication skills as well as good customer service manner

Briefing

Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 4 September 2026 (Friday).
Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 7 October 2026 (Wednesday). The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
