(MVS20260810)Hong Kong Museum of History: Education Corner Ambassador(Oct - Nov 2026)

Background: The Hong Kong Museum of History presented The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Prosperity and Magnificence - Civilisation of the Sui and Tang Dynasties in Shaanxi Province in April 2026 and will be concluded on 24 August, 2026 while Interactive Zone of the exhibition has been extended until 30 November, 2026. The Museum now invites volunteers to guide the visitors in learning more about the Interactive Zone and to assist visitors in joining various multimedia interactive programmes.


Details:

-         To assist in checking whether the multimedia programs and videos within the area are properly functioned;

-         To manage the crowd control and provide customer services at the Education Corner; and

-         To assist visitors in joining various multimedia interactive programmes


Date:  1 October 2026 to 30 November 2026 (Every Monday, Wednesday to Sunday)

 

Time:  

-        Morning session: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

-        Afternoon session: 2:30 p.m. – 5:30p.m.

Location: Hong Kong Museum of History (100 Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui)

-        Education Corner on 1/F Lobby


No. of volunteers required:  2 persons per session  

Requirement: 

-         Fluent in spoken Cantonese and able to communicate with visitors in simple Putonghua and English

-         Polite and has good interpersonal and communication skills as well as good customer service manner

-         Form 5 or above

Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 4 September 2026 (Friday).

Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 23 September 2026 (Wednesday).  The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
