Background: The Hong Kong Museum of History presents The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Prosperity and Magnificence - Civilisation of the Sui and Tang Dynasties in Shaanxi Province. The Exhibition introduces the history and culture of Sui and Tang dynasties with a selection of precious artefacts and also sets up an Interactive Zone. The Museum invites volunteers to introduce the exhibition and Interactive Zone, volunteers will also need to assist visitors in joining various multimedia interactive programmes.

Details:

-        To manage the workshops at the Education Corner;

-         To assist in checking whether the multimedia programs and videos within the area are properly functioned;

-         To manage the crowd control and provide customer services at the Education Corner; and

-         To assist visitors in joining various multimedia interactive programmes 

Date: 1 July 2026 to 30 September 2026 (Every Monday, Wednesday to Sunday) 


Time:  

-         Morning session: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

-         Afternoon session: 2:30 p.m. – 5:30p.m.

* Briefing of service will be conducted on site

Location: 

Hong Kong Museum of History 

(100 Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui)

Education Corner on 1/F Lobby

No. of volunteers required:  3 persons per session



Requirement: 

-         Fluent in spoken Cantonese and able to communicate with visitors in simple Putonghua and English

-         Polite and has good interpersonal and communication skills as well as good customer service manner

-         Form 5 or above  

Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 29 May 2026 (Friday).

Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 17 June 2026 (Wednesday).  The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
