Background: To promote astronomy and space science among students, the Hong Kong Space Museum is offering outreach programme – Talk & Demo to local primary schools. The target audiences are primary 4 to 6 students. The activity topic will be Rocket 101 or All about Astronauts.

Details:

-         To assist in the logistics, distribution and collection of the materials

-         To guide the students to understand the activity contents

-         To assist museum staff to conduct various activities

-         To take photos of the activities

14 May 2026 (Thursday) 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm: Sacred Heart Canossian School Private Section (34 Caine Road, Central, Hong Kong)

28 May 2026 (Thursday) 12:45 pm – 2:45 pm: Lutheran Tsang Shing Siu Leun School (Estate Primary School No. 5, Phase III, Butterfly Estate, Area 28, Tuen Mun, N.T.)

No. of volunteers required: 3 persons for each activity

Requirement:

-         Fluent in spoken Cantonese

-         Friendly, patient and good at teaching students

-         Polite with good interpersonal and communication skills

Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on XX XX 2026 (XXday).

Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before XX XX 2026 (XXday).  The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
