Background: The Hong Kong Space Museum will select secondary school students with outstanding performance through three rounds of selection to participate in the “Young Astronaut Training Camp 2026” during the summer. As the second round of the selection, the pre-camp training is a three-day, two-night programme that includes group activities and outdoor activities led by a team of instructors. About 70 students from Secondary 2 to 6 are expected to attend.

1 May 2026 (Friday): 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
2 May 2026 (Saturday): 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
3 May 2026 (Sunday): 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Requirement:
- Fluent in spoken Cantonese and able to communicate in basic Putonghua
- Able to work outdoors for extended periods and serve as group leaders for three consecutive days
- Polite with good interpersonal skills, communication skills, and a positive service attitude
- Have completed Secondary 5 or above

Priority will be given to those who have experience in
leading and managing youth group activities
Briefing
*All successful applicants are required to attend the briefing session to learn more about the service details.

Location: Multi-purpose Room, Hong Kong Space Museum
Details: Staff from the Hong Kong Space Museum will introduce the activity background, the rundown of the pre-camp training, and important notes.
Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 3 March 2026 (Tuesday).
Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 18 March 2026 (Wednesday). The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
