Background: To tie in with the new campaign "HKIA Transit Fun: Cultural Workshop” on promoting Hong Kong Culture to local and international tourists/ travelers at the Hong Kong International Airport, the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Office will offer live demonstrations and amusing displays on Hong Kong’s ICH to visitors from different places to learn about the lifestyle of Hong Kong and feel the distinctive charm of local ICH. This activity is also one of the programmes of "Hong Kong ICH Month 2026".
The ICH Office invites volunteers to provide fixed-point guided tours, introducing the Hong Kong-style Milk Tea Making Technique, to enable both local and international travelers to learn about Hong Kong's ICH items.
Details:
- To provide fixed-point guided tours, introducing the Hong Kong-style Milk Tea Making Technique to both local and international travelers
- To assist the demonstration group in conducting milk tea demonstration activities and crowd control
- To take photo record of the activities

Location: Near Gates 32 & 34, Departures Level (L6), Terminal 1, Hong Kong International Airport (Restricted area) No. of volunteers (Max. Capacity): 4 persons per day (2 Mandarin speakers, 2 English speakers) |
Requirement:
- Fluent in spoken Mandarin or/and English
- Polite and possesses good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good customer service manner
- Form 5 or above
- Priority will be given for those who have working experience in history / culture
- Details of the service and reference notes of the exhibitions will be sent to successful applicants via email later
- Successful applicants must provide a photocopy of valid identity document and a passport photo to the ICHO by 30 April 2026 to complete entry procedures for the restricted area. Otherwise, they will be deemed to have given up the chances. Detailed requirements for the document and photo will be sent to successful applicants via email

Location: Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Centre (Sam Tung Uk Museum, 2 Kwu Uk Lane, Tsuen Wan, New Territories, Hong Kong) Details: Staff from the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office will introduce the background and content of the activity, and will also share past experiences and points to note of the services. |
Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 3 March 2026 (Tuesday).
Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 18 March 2026 (Wednesday). The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
