Background: The Hong Kong Museum of History will present Chang'an, the Magnificent Metropolis - Cultural Relics of Sui and Tang Dynasties (tentative title). The Exhibition will introduce the history and culture of Sui and Tang dynasties, the glamorous eras of China. The Museum invites volunteers to assist visitors in introducing the exhibit and understand the story behind it, volunteers will also assist visitors in joining various multimedia interactive programmes.


Details:

-         To manage the workshops at the Education Corner;

-         To assist in checking whether the multimedia programs and videos within the area are properly functioned;

-         To manage the crowd control and provide customer services at the Education Corner;

-         To assist visitors in joining various multimedia interactive programmes.

Date: 

25 April to 29 June 2026

(Every Monday, Wednesday to Sunday)

Time: 

-         Morning session: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

-         Afternoon session: 2:30 p.m. – 5:30p.m.

 *Briefing of service will be conducted on site

Location: 

Hong Kong Museum of History

(100 Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui)

Education Corner on 1/F Lobby

No. of volunteers required: 3 persons per session 

Requirement:       

-         Fluent in spoken Cantonese and able to communicate with visitors in simple Putonghua and English

-         Polite and has good interpersonal and communication skills as well as good customer service manner

-         Form 5 or above

Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 3 March 2026 (Tuesday). 

Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 18 March 2026 (Wednesday).  The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
