Background: Oi! has long been exploring the possibilities of presenting art within the community, with the goal of becoming an “art oasis” in the city. “Oi! Spotlight” is our annual highlight programme, to be held in March, aiming to showcase the innovative power of Hong Kong and international artists, inspire cross-cultural dialogue, and foster exchanges across regions in response to creative ideas. From March to October 2026, Chinese contemporary cross-disciplinary artist Zheng Jing will present a series of site-specific art installations at Oi!

- To introduce exhibitions and artworks to visitors; - to assist in daily gallery operation and manage crowd control; - to host fixed-point guided tours - to record attendance at the gallery; - to conduct visitor survey; and - to provide accessibility support. |
Date: 2 April – 30 June 2026 (Every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays)
Time: 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. (One session per day, each lasting 6 hours)

Requirement:

- Fluent in spoken Cantonese, proficiency in Mandarin and English is a plus. - Polite, good interpersonal and communication skills as well as good customer service manner. - Completed Secondary 5 education level or above. - Priority will be given to those who have experience of working as docent/ ambassador/ customer service in art-related workplaces. Briefing All successful applicants are required to attend the briefing session to learn more about the service details. Date: 22 March 2026 (Sunday) Time: 12:00 n.n. – 13:30 p.m. Location: Oil Street Art Space (Oi!), 12 Oil Street, North Point, Hong Kong Details: The curatorial team from Oi! will introduce the exhibition and the artwork, as well as the background of Oi!, duties and gallery operation. (The briefing will be conducted in Cantonese and Putonghua.) |
Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 3 March 2026 (Tuesday).
Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 11 March 2026 (Wednesday). The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
