[Testing](MVS20251201)Hong Kong Space Museum: Outreach Programme to Schools (February to March 2026)

Background: To promote astronomy and space science among students, the Hong Kong Space Museum is offering outreach programme – Talk & Demo to local primary schools. The target audiences are primary 4 to 6 students. The activity topic will be Rocket 101 or All about Astronauts.

Details:

-         To assist in the logistics, distribution and collection of the materials

-         To guide the students to understand the activity contents

-         To assist museum staff to conduct various activities

-         To take photos of the activities

10 February 2026 (Tuesday): 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm  Fanling Government Primary School (Cheung Wah Estate, Fanling, N.T.)

12 March 2026 (Thursday): 1:15 pm – 3:15 pm  Lingnan University Alumni Association (Hong Kong) Primary School (33 Pak Tin Street, Shek Kip Mei, Kowloon, Hong Kong)

All about Astronauts

19 March 2026 (Thursday): 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Sai Kung Sung Tsun Catholic School (Primary Section) (Blocks F & G Ancillary Block, Po Tung Road, Sai Kung, N.T.) 

No. of volunteers required: 3 persons for each activity

Requirement:

-         Fluent in spoken Cantonese

-         Friendly, patient and good at teaching students

-         Polite with good interpersonal and communication skills

Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 14 January 2026 (Wednesday).

Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 21 January 2026 (Wednesday).  The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
