Background: Since its founding in 1960, Min Chiu Society has been dedicated to collecting, researching and promoting Chinese art, establishing itself as a significant collectors’ organisation worldwide. This year, in commemoration of the 65th anniversary of the organisation, the Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMoA) will organise the exhibition “Engaging Past Wisdom: Min Chiu Society at Sixty-five”, showcasing over 400 exhibits from the collections of more than 40 members of the Society. The exhibits encompass a wide variety of precious artefacts, including Chinese painting and calligraphy, ceramics, bronze, jade, lacquerware, textiles, bamboo, furniture, and sculpture.
The Museum invites volunteers to assist in introducing highlight exhibits and interactive programme, and helping visitors to understand the exhibits in depth.

- To provide information of dedicated exhibits to visitors
- Assist in the interactive programme at education corner

Mondays to Wednesdays, Fridays to Sundays, and public holidays

Requirement:
- Fluent in spoken Cantonese/ Mandarin/ English
- Polite and possesses good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good customer service manner
- Form 5 or above (persons who have studied art education are preferable)
Briefing
*All successful applicants are required to attend the briefing session to learn more about the service details.

Details: Assistant curators from the Hong Kong Museum of Art will give a brief tour of the exhibition, highlight exhibits, and interactive programme, providing additional information beyond the textual descriptions of the exhibit as well as some points to note of the museum services.
Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 26 August 2025 (Tuesday).
Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 3 September 2025 (Wednesday). The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately.
