(MVS20250808)Hong Kong Science Museum: “Bank of China (Hong Kong) Presents: National Development and Achievements Series – Approaching Perfection: The Intersection of Sports and Science” Exhibition

Background: To coincide with the 15th National Games of the People's Republic of China, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games, the Hong Kong Science Museum will organise a special exhibition on sports science to highlight how sports science and technology can enhance athletic performance and introducing different sports as well as scientific knowledge in the areas of sports nutrition, sports medicine and sports psychology.  

Details:

-         To conduct questionnaires for the exhibition

-         To guide and assist visitors in using the exhibits properly

-         To briefly explain the science behind the exhibits

Date: 

3 November 2025 to 31 December 2025

-         6, 13, 20, 27 November

-         4, 11, 18 December

Time:  

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays:

2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays:

10 a.m. – 1 p.m. 

Location: 

G/F Special Exhibition Hall, Hong Kong Science Museum

(2 Science Museum Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon)

No. of volunteers required: 4 persons per session

Requirement:      

-         Fluent in Cantonese and able to communicate in simple Putonghua and English preferred

-         Polite with good interpersonal and communication skills and customer service manner

-         Form 5 or above

-        Priority will be given to those who have qualifications or experience in science or education

Briefing:

*All successful applicants are required to attend the briefing session to learn more about the service details.

Date: 30 October 2025 (Thursday)

Time: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (including briefing and visit)

Location: G/F Special Exhibition Hall, Hong Kong Science Museum

Details: An introduction to exhibition background, service content and related techniques. Volunteers can visit the exhibition after the briefing.

*The briefing will be conducted in Cantonese.

Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 26 August 2025 (Tuesday).

Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 22 October 2025 (Wednesday).  The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
