Background: Conservation office will arrange roving exhibitions at major cultural venues and educational activities for public from August to December 2025.

Details:

( * After completing the training, some selected volunteers need to carry out the following services independently:)

-         to introduce the conservation work to the public

-         to prepare for the demonstration materials

-         to document the response from the public

Training class

Date: 16 & 23 July 2025 (Wednesday) (Tentative)

Time: 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: Hong Kong Museum of History (100 Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui)

Service
Date:
 August to December 2025 (Tentative: Saturday Afternoon)
(The final service schedule would be confirmed a week before the event.)
Location: Tai Po Public Library, Hong Kong Central Library, Kowloon Public library, Hong Kong Cultural Center, Hong Kong University Library

No. of volunteers (Max. Capacity): 30 volunteers


Requirement:

-         Willing to share their knowledge with others

-         Able to stand for long hours and carry the service outside museum environment

-         Must complete the training class in advance  

Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 2 July 2025 (Wednesday) ​.

Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 9 July 2025 (Wednesday) ​.  The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
